Over the past several years, York University has studied the use of cognitive-motor integration. This neuroscience research has resulted in the development of a computer tablet-based application called BrDI Flight, which has shown strong potential as a brain health assessment tool.
BrDI Flight is capable of testing the efficacy of dementia-targeted intervention-related therapies/activities including pre- & post-intervention functional assessment. It can also track recovery following concussion, and test the efficacy of concussion treatment interventions.
As part of this project, we finalized the development of this prototype and developed the server support required to launch a training program.
